6 Days and 5 Nights Migration-Calving Season

The calving season at Ndutu area is a major highlight to look up during your safari in Tanzania, mostly the calving season at Ndutu beginning January to Mid-March .This is during the Wildebeest migration when wildebeest move to find the green pasture.

Over 8,000 wildebeest are given birth to in Ndutu Area Per Day. A good location to enjoy the calving season in the area around Ndutu lake where other wildlife species can be 1also seen including predators like Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah.

Day 01: Arusha City – Ndutu (Serengeti South)

Day Itinerary

AM pickup from your hotel in Arusha City and drive through great scenic Rift Valley to reach Ndutu bordering Ngorongoro Conservation and Southern Serengeti. You will area at campsite for check-in and late lunch. Later embarking on your first thrilling adventurous game drive. The area is known for its abundant population of elephants, diverse bird species, and various resident wildlife.

Day 02: Ndutu Area – Full Day Game Drive

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, pick picnic lunch pack and you will enjoy full day game drive and enjoy and learn how animals survive in the wilderness during calving season, of which during this period thousands of wildebeest give birth to their young ones will be hunted by deadly predators. Ndutu provide a best wildlife viewing during the green season, which is around January up to Mid-March, Ndutu is found on the southern part of Serengeti plains where around 8000 wildebeest babies are born every day, also Ndutu is the best place to spot predators like leopard, cheetah, and lion.

Day 03: Ndutu – Serengeti National Park-Central

Day Itinerary

After luxurious breakfast, the excitement begins as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – Serengeti National Park. You will have morning game drive in Ndutu before leaving towards the Serengeti National Park, arriving at campsite in time for freshen and lunch. After lunch begins trilling game drive into Serengeti in search of ‘Big Five.’ Late evening returns at campsite, time to relax and enjoy evening over dinner.

Central Serengeti

Situated in the heart of Tanzania, the Central Serengeti encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. This picture-perfect landscape is characterised by endless stretches of savannah-covered open plains interspersed by rocky outcrops of granite and scattered with acacia woodlands and covered in a network of rivers and streams. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration and provides an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more. Popular activities include game viewing, cultural tours, horse riding safaris, and hot air ballooning over the spectacularly scenic terrain.

Day 04: Serengeti National Park

Day Itinerary

Depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to campsite for relaxed breakfast and freshen. Later leave for full day game drive with packed lunch. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of wildlife species. Serengeti Central – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Late afternoon returns at campsite, time to relax and enjoy evening over dinner.

Day 05: Serengeti Central – Ngorongoro Crater

Day Itinerary

After early breakfast, pick packed lunch box and drive to Ngorongoro Crater, where we will descend by 10 AM and enjoy game drive. Following our exploration, late afternoon you will arrive at lodge, time to relax and enjoy panoramic crater views from your lodge on the crater rim, enjoy lodge facilities and evening over dinner.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact caldera (collapsed volcano). Today we descend 2,000 feet into the crater by a 4-wheel drive vehicle for a full day safari. Over 30,000 animals live within this enormous natural bowl, the most densely packed concentration of wildlife in Africa. You should see wildebeest, elephant, lion, dik-dik, and warthog, whilst on the lakeside there are pelicans, ibis, and flamingos. Enjoy picnic lunch, late afternoon return to the lodge.

Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater  – Arusha City / JRO Int Airport

Day Itinerary

After luxurious breakfast, drive back to Arusha City and enjoy lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfers to your Arusha City hotel or JRO Int Airport.
