Day 01: Dar es Salaam City — Mikumi National Park
Day Itinerary
AM pick up from Nyerere International Airport / Dar es Salaam City Hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park. You will arrive in time at camp for freshen and lunch. After lunch, begins your first game drive of Mikumi Park. Late afternoon, returns to camp. Time to relax and enjoy the evening over dinner.

Mikumi National Park
Situated just 300 kilometres from the capital, Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest park and one of its most accessible national parks. The landscape is characterised by low-lying wetlands flanked by mountains on either side. Diverse wildlife inhabits the park’s 3230-square-kilometre area, including lion, buffalo, buck, civet, crocodile, snake, lizard, hippo, zebra, and even packs of wild dogs, which are seldom seen in other parts of the continent. The floodplain also supports over 400 species of bird, both resident and migratory species. Visitors can look forward to various activities including wildlife viewing, bird watching, visiting the educational and research centre, and viewing the massive collection of baobabs near Mbuyuni.
Day 02: Mikumi National Park — Ruaha National Park
Day Itinerary
After an early breakfast, you leave for Ruaha National Park with picnic lunch, for game drive. Ruaha is a hauntingly beautiful and wild landscape of miombo forest, rolling woodlands, hills, rivers, and plains and has a great variety of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hunting dog, warthog, giraffe, zebra, huge herds of buffalo and large concentrations of elephant. Late afternoon arrives at camp, relax and enjoy evening over dinner

Overnight: Ruaha River Camp
Ruaha National Park
Following its 2008 merger with Usangu Game Reserve and other notable wetlands, Ruaha is counted among Tanzania’s biggest national parks, spanning more than 20,000 km². It is also a sizeable elephant haven and home to buffalo, huge populations of lion, leopard, and a profusion of bird species, including kingfishers, plovers, egrets, hornbills, and sunbirds. Crocodiles and hippos thrive in the Great Ruaha River, which flows along the sanctuary’s eastern border and in the dry season between July and November, animals flock to the last remaining water sources, presenting an exceptional wildlife spectacle.
Day 03: Ruaha National Park

You explore the park for a full day by vehicle, on foot and boat. The Ruaha River is a scenic delight and a magnet for wildlife in staggering numbers. Elephant reign supreme. Hippos en masse are guaranteed. Kudu, eland, giraffe, and dik-dik thrive in abundance.

Day 06: End of Itinerary
Day Itinerary
Enjoy your last early morning game drive of Mikumi Park, returns to camp for freshen and breakfast, after breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam City with picnic lunch pack. On arrival, transfers to Nyerere Int Airport or your hotel in Dar es Salaam City.
