Day 01: Dar es Salaam City — Nyerere National Park
Day Itinerary
— You are picked up from your hotel and continue to Selous Game Reserve. This takes you about 6 to 8 hours’ drive – Picnic lunch on the way. Arrive at your camp late afternoon — Enjoy the View of the River and the atmospheric around.

Nyerere National Park (Selous)
Formerly the northern part of Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania’s Nyerere National Park is Africa’s largest National Park. Stretching over an impressive 30,893 square kilometres, the park is home to some of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife, and the incredible diversity and sheer volume of animals draw visitors from around the globe. Travellers can look forward to spotting a wide collection of common and rare species including the famous Big Five, some rare species of antelopes like Roan Antelope, and large concentrations of elephant and hippos. Do not miss the opportunity to take a boating safari on the exquisite Rufiji River, spot the endangered African wild dog, and enjoy a guided walking safari with a highly knowledgeable guide.
Day 02: Nyerere National Park (Selous)
Day Itinerary
You will have a full day in the Selous Game Reserve, staying at the Tented Lodge overlooking the gorge of Rufiji River Camp. Exploration of the Reserve by 4-wheel drive vehicle, boat and on foot. The Selous, famous for its elephants, was originally set aside as a hunting area where animals are abundant but shyer than the Northern Parks. Our foot safari will give us a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds, while our excursions by Landover will allow us to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. We will discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos and crocodiles in good numbers. Some 350 bird species have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. These are typical of miombo woodland, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamplands is of particular interest.

Day 04: Nyerere National Park — Mikumi National Park
Day Itinerary
After breakfast, you will continue to Mikumi National Park, arrive in time to freshen and enjoy lunch. PM enjoy Short game drive of the Mikumi Park.

Mikumi National Park
Situated just 300 kilometres from the capital, Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest park and one of its most accessible national parks. The landscape is characterised by low-lying wetlands flanked by mountains on either side. Diverse wildlife inhabits the park’s 3230-square-kilometre area, including lion, buffalo, buck, civet, crocodile, snake, lizard, hippo, zebra, and even packs of wild dogs, which are seldom seen in other parts of the continent. The floodplain also supports over 400 species of bird, both resident and migratory species. Visitors can look forward to various activities including wildlife viewing, bird watching, visiting the educational and research centre, and viewing the massive collection of baobabs near Mbuyuni.
Day 05: Mikumi National Park — Ruaha National Park
Day Itinerary
After early breakfast you will continue to Southern Highland to Ruaha National Park with picnic lunch pack and enjoy en-route game viewing, late afternoon arrives at lodge, relax and enjoy evening over dinner.

Ruaha National Park
Following its 2008 merger with Usangu Game Reserve and other notable wetlands, Ruaha is counted among Tanzania’s biggest national parks, spanning more than 20,000 km². It is also a sizeable elephant haven and home to buffalo, huge populations of lion, leopard, and a profusion of bird species, including kingfishers, plovers, egrets, hornbills, and sunbirds. Crocodiles and hippos thrive in the Great Ruaha River, which flows along the sanctuary’s eastern border and in the dry season between July and November, animals flock to the last remaining water sources, presenting an exceptional wildlife spectacle. There are few accommodation options available but some close for the wet season in March and April.
Day 06: Ruaha National Park

You explore the park for a full day by 4-wheel drive vehicle, by boat and on foot. The Ruaha River is a scenic delight and a magnet for wildlife in staggering numbers, Elephant reign supreme. Hippos en masse are guaranteed. Kudu, eland, giraffe, and dik-dik thrive in abundance
